ARCADIA Annual Conference 2010

The Romanian Association for International Cooperation and Development(ARCADIA) has the pleasure of inviting you to the ARCADIA Annual Conference 2010, which will take place on the 25th and 26th of November 2010, in Bucharest, Romania.

The ARCADIA Annual Conference 2010 will facilitate the dialogue between researchers,scholars, practitioners and policy makers on this years theme:

Development,Trade and Foreign and Security Policy:How can Emerging Donors make a difference?

This events edition has as background the emergence of new donors and the subsequent development of related policies, strategies and institutions.Viewed not only from a governmental and financial point of view, but also from a civil-society standpoint, the implications of donorship prove to be challenging. Therefore, this conference will critically analyze the relations between developing countries and emerging donors from three interrelated perspectives: Development, Trade and Foreign and Security Policy.

Participation is possible in the following ways:

1. Submitting panel proposals consisting of 3 to 6 pages before September 10th, 2010.

2. Submitting workshop proposals consisting of 3 to 6 pages before September 10th,2010.

3. Submitting paper abstracts of max. 300 words before October 1st, 2010.

4. Being part of the audience.

Conference language: Submissions, panels and workshops can be made in English, Romanian or French.

The Application Forms for panel, workshop proposals and individual papers can be found on the Conference website. and should be sent together with a short CV(max. 2 pages) to the following e-mails: arcadia@grspsociety.org and contact@arcadianetwork.org.

The list of accepted panels will be published on the Conference website.

Several partial travel grants are available to students and young researchers. Accommodation can be provided to a limited number of participants.
